The Year 10 Assembly on Tuesday 21st March 2017 hosted guest speakers from Cambridge University. Three current Cambridge students came in to speak with Year 10 students about university life in general, as well as the specifics of studying at one of the UK’s top universities.
The three students came from a variety of backgrounds, areas of the country, and study areas, allowing Ash Hill students a fantastic opportunity to discover about the different opportunities on offer in Higher Education. One thing that the university students stressed was that life at university is not all about study – it also involves a full social life, with clubs and societies, as well as making friends with people from across the world.
It was an interesting look at life in Higher Education, with Ash Hill students been asked about their own ideas about university, which included challenging some of the myths surrounding it.
