23rd March 2017

The Year 8 Assembly on Wednesday 22nd March 2017 hosted guest speakers from the Army Cadet Force. Sergeant Proud came in to speak with Year 8 students about the Army Cadets in general, the opportunities available, as well as the specifics of joining the local detachment at Thorne.

As a uniformed youth organisation, the ACF offers young people aged 12 (in Year 8) and 18 a wide variety of adventurous, exciting, and challenging opportunities to improve themselves. From mountain biking and sports competitions, to Teamwork BTEC courses and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, being an Army Cadet is a fantastic way to improve your chances of employment as well as make new friends from your local area and across the country.
