Our Year 10 History students recently took part in an immersive ZEITGEIST workshop, a nationally recognised provider of Western Front Medicine education. This hands-on session offered students the opportunity to explore key aspects of their GCSE topic through engaging, real-world experiences that bring history to life.

Through interactive activities, expert-led discussions, and examination-focused insights, students deepened their understanding ofΒ medicine in the trenches during WWI, a core element of their exam specification. The workshop helped develop historical thinking, analytical skills, and contextual understanding, all while enhancing engagement and curiosity in the subject.

This enrichment opportunity is part of our commitment toΒ learning beyond the classroom, supporting students in making meaningful connections between curriculum content and real-world contexts. It also reflects our wider vision forΒ cultural capital, curriculum depth, and personal development, all key areas recognised in theΒ Ofsted framework.

Well done to all involved for your enthusiasm, curiosity, and impeccable conduct throughout the workshop. We’re proud to see our historians in action!
