Student Leadership

We’re excited to re-launch our Student Leaders and Student Council process for the next academic year. We’ll be inviting students to apply for roles within our student council to enable them to make a real impact on our school and it’s community. We put our students at the heart of everything we do here at Ash Hill Academy, so it’s incredibly important to us that our students get a say in how things run!

Our student council is made of candidates from each year group at school & their main role is to represent students within the school by raising current issues, concerns, desires & events taking place in each year group. The Students Council will voice the main interests of the students & make plans for change or improvements in the every day life of a student at Ash Hill Academy.

The Student Council also have the opportunity to be involved in the wider community & represent young people of Hatfield to give valuable insights into the differences young people can make in local communities.

Our Student Council host various events throughout the school calendar to help raise money for charities & to bring communities together at important times of the year. They host an annual Christmas Concert for local Care Homes, helping support some of our most vulnerable residents & bringing enjoyment & laughter to different groups of people. They organise the selling of Poppies for Remembrance Sunday, raise money for With Me In Mind during Children’s Mental Health Week and Children in Need.

This mutual exchange of effort and benefit helps shape a generation of responsible, confident, and community-oriented individuals.
